The Purification process viz. `SLT Process' is developed in- house by SSL after 15 years of constant practical research and it is being practised in DSL since 1987. SLT Process - Steel making re-defined..... The steel making process of Dhatu Sanskar viz. SLT (Slag Liquid Treatment) process is unique and is quite advanced one from conventional Steel making methods. The process is based on Ferro-Alloys Hydrodynamics multi Component mixed transport control slag metal theory and modelling of powder injection system in furnace as well as laddle. This process is meant for high alloy grades such as Tool & Die Steel,High Speed steel. High Alloy steel etc. The advantage of SLT Process for making Alloy steel is such that heat can be tapped without the help of Spectrometer. The Slag formation becomes instant creamy white and range of finished elements can be assured in three digits. Aluminium recovery by this process is above 90% and Vanadium recovery is 90-95% which is a rare phenomenon. This process also brings Nitrogen level below 55 PPM, Oxygen level below 15 PPM and Hydrogen level is well within 1.0 PPM. The inclusion rating for A,B,C,D,thick and thin series is well below 1.5 as per ASTM E-45 Plate-l. The cleanliness of the metal is far superior and equally comparable to steel made through LRF. "SLT Process" also envisages the incorporation of Cold Laddle System where the liquid Refined Metal doesn't come in contact with the refractories the cleanest steel and conformity to other international metallurgical Standards. These make "SLT Process" a better alternative to conventional LRF,VD,VOD route. Assured Delivery - Reduces your working capital requirement.
