The physician or the patient ??Physicians believe that they largely manage Asthma. But this is not true. For, they can manage the problem only after patient present to them. Fact remains that Asthma is predominantly managed by the patient himself and occasionally by the doctors (till the problem becomes very chronic and disabling or severe). Even disabled asthmatics do not seek to continue the medical guidance one their own objectives of response are achieved. Why Self Management ?*It then becomes very pertinent to accept the role of the patient himself & educate him top manage his problem adequately and rationally till such time as some difficulty arises necessitating actual Clinical consultation. It is with this clear understanding that this service is designed.
