Fax:5143130  pages@indiaspace.com  According to the vision given by Lord, through the book of Isaiah Chapter 61 and verses 1 to 10, New Shalom Ministries, charitable Trust, which is situated in Mumbai is formed to organise and plan such activities which facilitate development of the poor and down trodden irrespective of caste, creed, colour, race, and religion, in order to support the poor and down trodden people in all all possible ways the New Shalom Mimistries has decided to develop the following projects in slum/villages (Tribal areas) Educational Project: For the children residing in the slum and villages Tribal area. Nursery for children as well as literacy classes for adults. Coaching classes for students. Library facility. Free distribution of cloths and books. Women Care Centre: Tailoring classes Counseling and support in various matters. Self employment scheme. Medical Aid: Medical camps in slums and tribal areas. Free distribution of medicines. Aid awareness programme. Social Activities: Community centers in slum/tribal areas. Self Reliance: Opportunities for employment. Preparation of paper bags. Provide telephone booth for handicapped. Screen printing. Home industry. 1. Scheme for the welfare of street children and women development 2. Scheme of opening a orphanage for the orphan children. Mumbai is very vast and over populated city. Population is increasing housing, ill health, socio-economy-education, sanitation, nutrition related problems. Byculla is thickly populated area, become over crowded because of street-slums, huts pavements etc., Day by day migration, of employment and housing problems have given birth and co operation for the street programme, for the prevention and protection for malpractices and antisocial activities of the street dwellers. Children who live on pavement, street and in slums, Children of destitutes,neglected, abused and exploited, Children who works as reg. picking, vending and shoe polishing. The project will be implemented for 300 children as per the following groups. 1. Age 6 Years to 10 Years. 2. Age 11 Years to 18 Years.(Male group) 3. Age 11 Years to 18 Years.(Female group) 4. Age 18 Years to 40 Years.(Adolescent group) PRIORITY: Children of destitute, widows, divorces, victim of abuse and exploited, school dropout children, special attention and priority to girls and women. FOOD: Breakfast, lunch and snacks according to nutrition dietitian for 6 yr. to 10 yr. children and snacks to 11 yr. to 18 yr. children. HEALTH: Regular and monthly checkup from our doctors and free supply of medicines. EDUCATION: Important will be given to school education. Special coaching and guidance for uneducationally poor children. Care will be taken for school dropout children. COUNSELING: Age group 11 to 18 yr. boys and girls education and counseling service will be arranged. WOMEN: Income generation programme will be organised for the group 18 yr. to 40 yr. women, co ordination with Govt. and private institutions as shown below. 1. Small type handy craft training. 2. Fabric painting and Mehandi. 3. Cutting and stitching cloths. 4. Nutrition classes for pack food preserving and canning course. Home made chatnies, jam, snacks preparation of under the supervision of nutrition dietitian. Training for house made servants with scientific modern methods. Cooperation with Govt.\pvt. organisation. Training programs will contains 3 workshops, seminars, exhibitions film shows. The children of destitute, widows, orphan and poorest poor down trodden irrespective of caste, creed, colour, race and religion will be given first preference for admission to the orphanage. Orphanage will stand on the foundation on Jesus Christ's teaching in Mathew chapter 15 and verses 31 to 39, that I was hungry you fed me, I was thirsty you gave me water, nacked and clothed me, sick you took care of me. Jesus said what ever you did for poorest poor, you did for me. OUR PRAYER: To implement new projects we trust our Lord Jesus Christ.
